Samsung UA65U8500HRSER 65-Inch UHD 4K Smart TV

The Samsung UA65U8500HRSER 65-Inch UHD 4K Smart TV is a large-screen entertainment solution designed to bring detailed visuals, smart features and immersive sound into your home. As part of Samsung's 2026 U8500H series, this 65-inch Crystal UHD 4K Smart TV combines a 3840 × 2160 resolution with Samsung's Crystal Processor 4K, HDR support, PurColor and intelligent picture-processing technologies. The result is a viewing experience designed for movies, TV shows, sports, streaming, gaming and everyday entertainment on a spacious 65-inch display.

At the heart of the Samsung UA65U8500HRSER is the Crystal Processor 4K. Samsung uses this processor to improve compatible lower-resolution content through 4K upscaling while also processing scenes to produce clearer details and rich colors. Since the TV has a native 4K UHD resolution of 3840 × 2160 pixels, viewers can enjoy considerably more detail than standard Full HD content. This makes the 65-inch screen particularly suitable for larger living rooms where a bigger display can create a more engaging viewing experience.

Samsung's PurColor technology is designed to reproduce a broad range of colors, helping compatible movies, shows and other content appear more vivid and natural. The TV also features Color Booster, which intelligently enhances color expression to give scenes a more dynamic appearance. Together with the Crystal Processor 4K, these technologies help the UA65U8500HRSER produce a picture with enhanced color and detail across a variety of content.

For improved brightness and shadow detail, the Samsung UA65U8500HRSER supports HDR and HDR10+. High Dynamic Range expands the range between bright and dark areas, helping compatible content reveal additional visual information. Samsung also includes Mega Contrast and Contrast Enhancer, which are designed to improve the perceived depth and separation between different areas of an image. The TV additionally supports Filmmaker Mode, allowing compatible cinematic content to be presented in a way that aims to preserve the filmmaker's intended visual experience.

Motion performance is handled by Motion Xcelerator, which estimates movement between frames to improve motion smoothness. The UA65U8500HRSER has a 50Hz refresh rate and supports 2K 120Hz DLG on supported 55-, 65-, 75- and 85-inch models when the appropriate Game Mode conditions are met. For gaming, features such as Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM), Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) and HGiG are included, providing additional options for compatible gaming setups.

The TV is powered by Tizen™ Smart TV, giving users access to Samsung's connected TV ecosystem. The 2026 U8500H also includes One UI Tizen, which provides a consistent Samsung interface and access to supported apps and services. Samsung states that One UI Tizen will support Tizen OS upgrades for seven years, subject to the applicable terms and availability. The TV also supports Bixby, Apple AirPlay, Google Cast and SmartThings Quick Remote, making it easier to connect and interact with compatible devices.

One of the notable additions to this model is Samsung Vision AI Companion. This feature is designed to provide context-aware interaction and connect AI functionality with the TV experience. Samsung notes that Vision AI Companion availability and supported functions can vary according to country, model, language and other conditions, so specific AI features should be checked for the intended market.

For sports fans, the UA65U8500HRSER includes Football/Soccer Mode, which Samsung says optimizes picture and sound for football viewing. The large 65-inch display provides plenty of screen space for following matches, players and on-field action, while the associated sound processing is designed to create a more engaging viewing atmosphere.

Audio is handled by a 20W 2-channel speaker system. Samsung includes Object Tracking Sound Lite (OTS Lite), which creates a virtual 3D-style sound experience, along with Adaptive Sound, which analyzes content and adjusts audio according to the scene. The TV also supports Q-Symphony, allowing compatible Samsung TV speakers and Samsung soundbars to work together for a more integrated audio experience. A Dolby 5.1 decoder is also included.

Connectivity is well suited to a modern home entertainment setup. The Samsung UA65U8500HRSER provides three HDMI ports, with 4K 60Hz high-frame-rate support on HDMI 1, 2 and 3. It also features eARC, allowing compatible external audio equipment to receive higher-quality audio through the HDMI connection. For USB devices, the TV includes one USB-A port, while Bluetooth 5.3 provides wireless connectivity for compatible accessories and devices.

The design of the Samsung UA65U8500HRSER is another highlight. Samsung uses its MetalStream design, featuring a slim metal-inspired body and a three-side bezel-less appearance. The black finish and streamlined construction allow the TV to blend naturally into contemporary living rooms, bedrooms, entertainment spaces and offices. It can be installed using the supplied basic feet or a compatible wall-mount solution.

Samsung also incorporates Knox Security into its Tizen-powered TVs, providing protection for sensitive information and connected devices. Additional smart-home functionality is available through SmartThings, while features such as Quick Remote allow compatible smartphones to be used to control supported TV functions. The TV also includes an Eco Sensor, and Samsung's SmartThings ecosystem supports energy-management functions such as AI Energy Mode where available.

Overall, the Samsung UA65U8500HRSER 65-Inch UHD 4K Smart TV combines a large 65-inch 4K display with Crystal Processor 4K, HDR10+, PurColor, 4K Upscaling, Motion Xcelerator, Tizen Smart TV, Vision AI Companion, 20W audio, OTS Lite, Q-Symphony and modern connectivity. With its large screen, smart ecosystem and sleek MetalStream design, it is built for users who want a feature-rich Samsung 4K Smart TV for home entertainment, streaming, sports and compatible gaming.
